honestly, joo's character is... well, certainly something, yes, his past was sad, yes, he had a tough childhood, yes, he's literally a walking representation of 'victims can become abusers', but i feel like his character's writing is a bit... shit, but hear me out, his past doesn't really justify his actions towards kim dan, his past involves him being abused by his father and growing up in the streets, becoming a gangster, etc, but i feel like none of those really explain very well joo's sexually abusive behavior towards kim in season 1, his coach literally told him to not make the same mistakes as his father, but ion think joo took that fully, yes, he ended up rich and found a career unlike his dad, but his dad abused him, and he abused kim, now, again, is it a representation of a victim turning into an abuser? yea, but its still really confusing to me since we didn't really get an explanation for joo's sexually abusive behavior, ofc we still haven't seen his full past i think. ofc this is my own personal opinion and im no expert writer, but i do feel a bit unsatisfied with joo's 'reason' of sexually abusing kim in season 1

Honestly, after reading chapter 74, I felt so sad when I learned about Joo’s past… I finally understood the reason behind his cruelty and harsh treatment toward Kim Dan. His past is truly painful, but it still doesn’t justify the way he treated him. I wish he had tried to heal his wounds instead of passing them on to someone else. This chapter really made me think about how sometimes people who are hurt end up hurting others without realizing it, yet there should always be boundaries and respect. I’m now waiting for the next chapter with great anticipation!>\\\\<
