Guys this is kinda fire, if you don't know in dungeon meshi, (where these characters are from) eating and desire have LOTS of effect In The story, it's even implied one of the characters are a cannibal. LAIOS (the guy who wanted to eat kabru at first) is OBSESSED with eating monsters and curious for what humans would taste like, a creature (the winged lion) is able to eat and feed off desires, after the end of the story it takes over laioses body before LAIOS gets it back, it's a popular fan theory that LAIOS in his transformation keeps his ability to eat desires, that is what the cannibalism symbolises and why kabru enters his stomach (it's where LAIOS desire is stored and the reason it's so deep is because LAIOS desires lots and lots of things and wants to taste desire even tho it'd be bad for the person he's taking said desire from) it makes a lot more sense if you actually read the manga then if you dive in without any prior knowledge!
